Lecturer Mr Larry Thian has extensive experiences spanning over 35 years in all areas of insurance with specialty in marine cargo and logistics. He is a senior associate of the Australia & New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance and a certified Insurance Practitioner. He joined Phoenix Assurance Co Ltd (UK) as a marine claims and casualty specialist before moving on to Sun Alliance Co Ltd (UK) as a liability and marine casualty manager. After this, he spent over 10 years as a associate director of Marsh & McLaren (USA) the world's largest insurance broker and has specialist knowledge of general cargo insurance, claims, freight and demurrage matters.
