100 business owners, CEOs and member-representatives from both SLA and the Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) gathered together at the inaugural Meeting the Makers and Movers event on 15 November 2019.  Coordinated and supported by Enterprise Singapore (ESG) at its premise, the event aimed to build cross-industry collaborations and opportunities for both the manufacturers “Makers” and logistic providers “Movers”.

Everyone present acknowledged that the supply chain, logistics and the entire manufacturing process are facing disruptions. Whilst both the Makers and Movers embark on a journey towards business transformation, it will not be easy as it will be fraught with challenges and pitfalls. Thus, it is important to collaborate with one another to make Singapore more competitive and more efficient. Thus, the coming together aims to catalyze more cross-industry exchanges and to create a more meaningful value for members of both associations.

The party was preceded by 2 presentations on “Transforming Singapore’s Manufacturing” by SMF and “Achieving Supply Chain Optimisation through Digitalisation” by GeTS Asia.
