SLA Bid Farewell to SLA Chief Executive – Mr Tan Puay Hin

The association was deeply saddened with the departure of Mr Tan Puay Hin - Chief Executive on 4 December 2020. 

Mr Tan Puay Hin joined the Association on 18 January 2018 after his retirement from PSA International. He boosted the management to bring about greater synergy with industry developments in alignment with the Industry Transformation Map and Industry Digital Plan for the Logistics sector. 

Mr Tan led the Joint LEAD - Local Enterprise and Association Development programme where several new initiatives were successfully carried out.  Companies that participated benefitted from these programmes, which aimed to enhance their competitiveness, capture new growth opportunities as well as strive towards greater vibrancy, professionalism and sustainability for their businesses. We commend him for his thought leadership in driving industry change in areas that include industry profiling, innovation and technology, capacity building, business transformation as well as internationalisation. 

Despite his illness, Mr Tan was still determined to continue working and oversee the running of these programmes. He will truly be missed by all of us.
