Collaboration with Confederation of Indian Industry – Institute of Logistic



The year ended on a high note for SLA and its training arm – The Logistics Academy Pte Ltd (TLA) as both signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Confederation of Indian Industry – Institute of Logistics (CII-IL) on 08 December 2020. The MOU was witnessed by MTI’s Singapore-India Partnership Office (SIPO).

At the introduction of MTI’s SIPO, SLA and TLA met CII-IL to explore a partnership with CII and the Department of Logistics, Ministry of Commerce, India to run fee-based virtual skill development courses for Indian companies amongst other initiatives. Two courses on Digital Warehousing and Automation and Digital Supply Chain Transformation would be jointly held by the CII-IL, SLA and TLA during the first quarter of 2021. A webinar would be held on 18 January 2021 amongst the Indian logistics community as part of the marketing outreach. 

On 10 December 2020, Mr Thomas Sim – Chairman of SLA Human Capital Development Committee represented SLA at the CII SCALE Awards 2020 via online platform. He shared about the training collaboration as well as a snapshot of the Singapore logistics scene.
