Inauguration of International Professional Certification Programmes



The Association, together with its training arm – The Logistics Academy had a bullish start in the Lunar Year of the OX. Following months of preparation, the first series of the International Professional Certification programmes with Confederation of Indian Industry - Institute of Logistics was launched on 22 February 2021. The inaugural session was graced by Mr S Iswaran – Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations and Minister for Information & Communications. Mr Piyush Goyal – Minister of Railways, Minister of Commerce and Industry & Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution represented the Government of India in this significant collaborative event. 

“I am happy to join you at today’s inauguration of “Digital Supply Chain Transformation”, the first of two virtual International Certification courses co-delivered by the Confederation of Indian Industry’s Institute of Logistics and the Singapore Logistics Association. This collaboration brings together the knowledge and expertise of two of our national-level trade associations to propel the logistics industry forward.  It marks yet another milestone in the deepening economic partnership between Singapore and India. The course will impart strategies and best practices such as these, and help participants harness digital supply chains to future-proof their businesses”, said Minister S Iswaran in his welcome message. 

An e-Forum, “Digital Supply Chain Management in a Post COVID-19 World: Opportunities, Risks and Technologies” kick started the 5-day training programme on Digital Supply Chain Transformation from 22 to 26 February 2021. The panelist made up of representatives from both the Singapore and India counterparts.

  • Mr Mohandas Menon, CEO of Stellar Value Chain Solutions Pvt Led

The virtual platform did not stop the delegates from asking interesting questions. The interactive session was moderated by Ms Akanksha Batura Pai, Head of Strategy & Growth of Sinoda Shipping Agency Pte Ltd. 

The International Professional Certification programme was well attended by C-suites of the logisticians as well as the government officials in India. The highlights of the programme were the virtual tour to PSA International, YCH Group and A.P. Moller – Maersk A/S providing participants with insight on how the organisations embrace technologies, tools and techniques to create new and innovative solutions that improve cost-competitiveness, lead-time and quality of service.
