SLA's 50th Anniversary Celebration

SLA marked a momentous milestone as it celebrated its 50th anniversary with a day filled with jubilation and camaraderie. The festivities commenced with a golf celebration, bringing together members and industry partners for a day of sportsmanship and unity on the golf fairways. The golfers teed off, showcasing their skills and fostering a sense of togetherness.

The celebration continued with an anniversary dinner graced by the presence of Dr. Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Second Minister for Trade and Industry, who served as the Guest of Honour. The attendees commemorated 50 years of success and unveiled Vision2027.

In the spirit of giving back to the community, SLA made a donation of $30,000 to the Yellow Ribbon Fund's Grow Movement. This contribution, combined with other contributions, culminated in a total sum of $50,000, all dedicated to the cause of upskilling ex-offenders in the logistics sector.

The evening also honoured its longest-serving member companies, which have been steadfast companions since the organization's inception in 1973. These companies were recognized with the Golden Membership Jubilee Award, symbolizing their unwavering commitment to SLA's mission over the years.

In the midst of the jubilant atmosphere, the golf awards were presented for novelty prizes and celebrated the 2nd runner-up, 1st runner-up and champion, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. The winners received recognition for their exceptional skills and competitive spirit.

As the evening progressed, attendees came together to share songs and foster connections with fellow industry partners. The gathering was brimming with cherished memories and the establishment of new friendships. It was a night where the logistics industry's leaders forged stronger bonds, promising to work together for a brighter future.
