16th China-ASEAN EXPO
Mr Stanley Lim – Chairman, Internationalisation Committee and Mr Tan Puay Hin – Chief Executive participated at the 16th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) from 20 to 23 September 2019 in Nanning, Guangxi. Mr Lim was one of the panelists at the China-ASEAN Business Leaders Forum which was held in conjunction with CAEXPO. CAEXPO is an annual trade fair and an important platform to promote economic cooperation between ASEAN and China.
Dr Koh Poh Koon – Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry was also present to officiate the Opening Ceremony of the establishment of the Representative Office of ASEAN Federation of Forwarders Associations (AFFA) and China-Singapore Nanning International Logistics Park (CSILP) on 21 September 2019.
The China-ASEAN Multimodal Transport Alliance (CAMTA), with SLA as one of the founding members was established to bring ASEAN countries into CSILP. The alliance, which includes representatives from the 10 ASEAN countries, CSILP and AFFA, aims to boost multi-lateral trade by strengthening the logistics and supply chain industry in Guangxi.
