China-Fujian Longyan Logistics Industry Association Delegation Visit

China’s rapid economic growth has led to a substantial increase in bilateral commercial ties with Singapore. The geographical location of Longyan City acts as a point of connection between the inland and coastal areas. Its logistics sector is integral to its economy as it is a centre of distribution of goods to Xiamen, Quanzhou and Zhangzhou. It is also a gateway for trade with Guangdong and Jiangxi provinces.

A delegation from Fujian Longyan Logistics Industry Association, comprising senior officials of 11 enterprises called on SLA on 22 October 2019. Led by Jin Hong Traders, a networking session with 9 SLA member-representatives was arranged to share and exchange business developments between Singapore and China.

Mr Stanley Lim – Honorary Secretary and Chairman – Intenationalisation gave a welcome address to the delegation whilst Mr Tan Puay Hin – Chief Executive presented on the overall landscape of the logistics industry and share on the activities of the association.
