SLA 49th Annual General Meeting and 50th Anniversary!

SLA successfully held its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), coinciding with its 50th Anniversary, at Chevron on 30 May 2023. With the theme "Accelerating to a Greener Future," this year's AGM saw the participation of 31 Ordinary Member companies, with two represented by proxy. The meeting achieved the necessary majority to approve key agenda items, 

• Minutes of SLA 48th AGM held on 27 May 2022
• Report of the Council for the Year 2022 and SLA Group's Financial Statements for the Year ended 31 December 2022
• Appointment of PKF-CAP LLP as Auditors until the next AGM

After the AGM, the 125 attendees were present for the Techtalk session and a Networking dinner. The Techtalk segment featured a remarkable panel of experts from Guud Singapore, Toffs Technologies, and UD Trucks, who shared insights on emerging technologies and sustainability trends to enhance the digitalization and transformation journey towards a greener future.

During the Networking dinner, several booths were set up by prominent companies such as EVCo, Guud Singapore, Toffs Technologies, UD Trucks, Volvo, Yellow Ribbon Singapore, Jobs Development Partner Programme, and Global Ready Talents. These booths aimed to assist member companies in enhancing their digitalisation and transformation journey towards a greener future.

The Networking dinner also provided an opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Mr Poh Key Boon and Mr Stanley Lim, esteemed Council members of SLA, who were presented with long service awards by Mr Lee Pak Sing, Assistant Chief Executive of Enterprise Singapore. Mr Stanley Lim, a council member since 1976, and Mr Poh Key Boon, a veteran of the industry who has served SLA since 1986, were recognised for their invaluable dedication.

Furthermore, Mr Dave Ng, Chairman of SLA, expressed gratitude by presenting tokens of appreciation to the council members who served the association during the 2020/2021 terms.
